About The New Adobe CS6

The capabilities of digital design and digital art is always reliant on software. The more complex your software skills, the better your creative work will be. You learn new tools and new ways to do things everyday, and the online communities developed knowledge sharing platforms (all those million and a half design tutorial sites out there) to teach you these tricks. But that some how defeated the process of art. One needs to concentrate on the art itself and not the tool used to create it.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could just open Photoshop and make those beautiful pictures look even more beautiful without getting lost? Wouldn’t it be great to open Illustrator and just create that great comic series you dreamt up the last time you had a chat with one of your copywriters?

Now, you can actually do that. Adobe has literally democratized, simplified, minimilised and all the other adjectives you can put together to say “less is more” with CS6. 600 new features just in Photoshop and over 65 of them were a result of direct customer feedback from people like you and me. And yes, all of this simplified from ground up (6 of my favorite features which also happen to be Rusell Brown’s favorites: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/cs6-creative-cloud-feature-tour-for-design/russell-brown-six-favorite-features-from-photoshop-cs6-in-six-minutes/?sdid=JUMMY) Just to give you an overview, CS6 has been downloaded over a million times (from here -> http://www.adobe.com/in/downloads/?sdid=JUMTN) and I’am yet to read a single hate post about CS6. That’s outstanding. From the intuitive video creation tools, content aware move/patch in Photoshop to the all new Image trace engine and pattern creation abilities of Illustrator to wrap stabilizer in PremierPro, it’s the closest you will get to using magic. For someone from the ad industry, this is the perfect suite. Even though they are demos they've reduced working hours and improved the final results quite a bit.

Sign-out for now.
Cheers!

  1. Adobe came along and changed the face of communication industry around 30 years ago. They defined and set the bar high and there was no looking back. But now with CS6, they are literally re-defining the future of communication design

    1. Guys Found it Being a design enthusiast, I wish I could have had the opportunity to train with the plethora of design and development software that Adobe offers. Imagine being able to study here - http://tv.adobe.com/watch/adobe-higher-education-solutions/cs6-in-education/?sdid=JUMTO and learn your way around Adobe's new creative suite, from Adobe themselves!

I was hesitant to spend so much on the new Photoshop CS6 from Adobe because I thought, no software can be worth so much. But boy did it prove me wrong, I've gone from creating 1 full-fledged comic artwork in 2 days to creating 2 complete artworks in 1 day. Trust me, buying Photoshop CS6 from http://shop.adobe.com/in?sdid=JUMTL is the best decision I ever made.

  4. I’ve been doing a lot of research into organic and generative design. I find it to be a very new and unexplored form of art that relies heavily on design related software and only recently, with advancements in design technology has complex generative design come to the fore. This video http://tv.adobe.com/watch/adobe-cs6-artist-series/customer-spotlight-adobe-onformative/?sdid=JYKZK is really cool, showing the possibilities of generative design and the scope for it to be used in various industries!

  5. Photoshop - Using the new three-part Blur Gallery
Powered by the new Mercury Graphics Engine, the Blur Gallery allows you to apply and combine three kinds of blur. Use it to create depth-of-field effects in post. This highly versatile filter also allows you to customize specific points of blur and focus.

  6. I’ve always wanted to harness the complexities of statistics and mathematics to define my art. Using numbers to generate art rather than let design define it. The thought of formulae and algorithms controlling a visually appealing output is a nerd’s wet dream and this video - http://tv.adobe.com/watch/adobe-cs6-artist-series/customer-spotlight-adobe-onformative/?sdid=JYKZK of Generative design company Informative, is a huge inspiration. “Creating choices and making choices” to let art design itself is such an unexplored approach!

  7. Adobe InDesign CS6
I used to work for a print magazine doing design and layout and I always hated my writers for making last minute changes. Whether it was due to copy checks or copy fitting, it’s just pissing off to rework the layout, specially if the copy is linked to another page. I’m so glad this new feature in InDesign - http://tv.adobe.com/watch/cs6-creative-cloud-feature-tour-for-design/linked-content-liquid-layout-in-indesign-cs6/?sdid=JYNWX has been created. Every designer will be dancing! I bought online from here - http://shop.adobe.com/in?sdid=JUMTL to test out its effectiveness with my blog and I have to admit, even the whole liquid and adaptive layouts stuff is pure gold!

  8. I work in the investment and purchase department at a media agency and like any other agency, budgets are always tight. The design and dev team requested that we buy the entire new CS6 form Adobe as it has great new features that save time, improve productivity and quality but that’s what they always say for any software. Then I saw this amazing video - http://bit.ly/LGJTxz that highlights pretty much every reason to buy the new suite. We purchased the Design and Web suite from here - http://shop.adobe.com/in?sdid=JUMTL and we received it within days!

  9. Every time there’s a new version of Adobe’s creative suite, designers and artists all around the world shudder with the thought of more upgrade expenses. Personally, I’ve always put a lot of thought, weighing the pros and cons of new software with the ones I’m accustomed to before investing. This year, when the new Photoshop CS6 released, this video - http://tv.adobe.com/watch/cs6-creative-cloud-feature-tour-for-design/russell-brown-six-favorite-features-from-photoshop-cs6-in-six-minutes/?sdid=JUMMY is all it took to convince me to buy the full version, no matter how expensive, because frankly, every feature highlighted is something I had hoped for in future upgrades.

  10. As an amateur artist, there’s nothing more frustrating than putting in hours and days of work and having it all come undone by the lack of the right tools. I totally agree with the point that traditional art is dying but it has to be argued, digital just pushes the boundaries so much more. Some of the software, like this from Adobe - http://shop.adobe.com/in?sdid=JUMTL and the videos that highlight their powers are enough to push any artist from canvas to screen. If not now, then soon!

  11. I was doing a comparison of the illustrator CS5 that I have and the new Illustrator CS6 that a friend of mine bought, just to justify not buying the new version. I knew there were a shit load of new features but kept avoiding them to helpl my argument. The my friend showed me this - http://tv.adobe.com/watch/cs6-creative-cloud-feature-tour-for-web/whats-new-in-illustrator-cs6/?sdid=JYNWZ
There’s no arguing, CS6 is just wayyyy better and more improved for any dedicated designer.I’m going to buy it from here http://shop.adobe.com/in?sdid=JUMTL soon too.

  12. I wanted to make a collage for my girlfriend’s birthday and didn’t have any idea how to go about it. I asked a few people and they told me to check out some videos by Adobe to help out with getting started. I finally found this one http://tv.adobe.com/watch/the-complete-picture-with-julieanne-kost/the-newly-redesigned-crop-tool-in-photoshop-cs6/?sdid=JYNWU and it saved my life! Now I’m the best boyfriend ever!

  14. I’m an artist that always worked with pencil and paper and strayed away from software purely because it’s so complicated and basically takes away the thrill of a free stroke. My wife and parents gifted me the creative design suite from Adobe, and encouraged me to go to this roadshow -

Not only did I get to learn a lot about the software and how it could improve my work so much, I also met a lot of other artists and designers and picked some handy tips and contacts too!
