I needed to do flexible layouts for my eMag to be compatible with multiple devices. I saw this video -
ReplyDeletehttp://tv.adobe.com/watch/cs6-creative-cloud-feature-tour-for-design/getting-started-with-the-new-liquid-layout-and-alternate-layout-features-in-indesign-cs6/?sdid=JUMNA and downloaded InDesign CS6 from here -
http://www.adobe.com/in/downloads/?sdid=JUMTN and I have to say, it's absolutely brilliant. I just work with one file and with a few clicks it's compatible with an iPad, a Galaxy Tab and notebook and even mobile.
Any designer or layout specialist who has created layouts for magazines, websites or even simple newsletters will know that keep track of content changes is a bitch! Check out this killer feature - http://tv.adobe.com/watch/cs6-creative-cloud-feature-tour-for-design/linked-content-liquid-layout-in-indesign-cs6/?sdid=JYNWX in the new InDesign CS6 and you’ll be left wanting more! You can download the free trial like I did from here - http://www.adobe.com/in/downloads/?sdid=JUMTN and if you want to buy a copy you can get one here - http://shop.adobe.com/in?sdid=JUMTL

I work as the content editor at a startup fashion brand and we’ve been looking to make a mobile and tablet app to increase sales. Sadly our IT team said they did not have the knowledge and resources to pull off something too big so we scratched the project but then an intern told us about the new Adobe Digital Publishing Suite and showed us this demo video - http://tv.adobe.com/watch/digital-publishing-customer-showcase/national-geographic-previews-kindle-fire-app/?sdid=JYNWW of Nat Geo and their app for the Kindle. We bought it online http://shop.adobe.com/in?sdid=JUMTL and within 8 months of releasing our app, we’ve already recovered our software costs!
ReplyDeleteI was looking for a convenient way in which a small time business could make its own app. I run a small scale printer supplies store and was hoping to make an app that sends out weekly updates on stocks, offers and new products and this eZine from Nato Geo http://tv.adobe.com/watch/digital-publishing-customer-showcase/national-geographic-previews-kindle-fire-app/?sdid=JYNWW was the perfect inspiration I needed. I shelled out the cost for the software and bought it online from http://shop.adobe.com/in?sdid=JUMTL, and got a few freelance designers and developers to help em go about the whole things. I’ve had my app out for 3 months now and it’s already helped increase sales by more than 50%!
ReplyDeleteIf you’re looking to get into designing, here’s a different way to help you make your decision. This isn’t about realizing your potential or anything, but it is about showing you how much potential digital software has to help you get your creativity out - http://www.adobecs6vod.com?sdid=KABYU Hat’s off to the Adobe guys for creating these brilliant features.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about the process through which ads/posters/movies even websites are conceptualized and executed. Someone mentioned that Adobe hosted a roadshow that helped people from the first step of content creation all the way to development and execution with the software features in their new CS6. The guys were nice enough to put the video online - http://www.adobecs6vod.com?sdid=KABYU and it’s quite cool to get such indepth look into how these things work.
